I grew up near Chicago and am a country girl at heart. There’s something about the raw, untouched beauty of the world that makes me feel most comfortable.
I was drawn to the sparseness and peacefulness of Wyoming in 2011, when I moved to Cheyenne. I enjoyed a decade in that magical place — the Rocky Mountain area is incredibly beautiful! The winters, though, just became a little too cold for my tastes over the years.
I found a new home in Austin in February 2021. I’m happy to now call this hot and vibrant city home as I set out on a new adventure in the South. Community, outdoor spaces and friendly people are what make this place magical.
As a creative individual, I enjoy being swept away by the moment; I avoid over-complicating and focus on getting straight to the point rather than trying to oversell. I believe that effective communication should be easy to understand for readers of all ages and backgrounds.
It’s been several years since I first set out to break away from journalism, but my central focus has always remained with the amazing people of this world and the unique stories that everyone has to tell. I bring this desire to bring people closer together in all of the work that I do.
I am constantly training and have an incredible thirst for knowledge. 2020 may have been a hard year due to COVID, and 2021 arrived with even greater challenges. In reflection, it was a year of massive personal growth and change.
I spend a lot of time outside of my “comfort” zone — so much so that it’s become my uncomfortable comfort zone. I’m determined and focused, looking to polish and refine my work and my fitness while also being intentional with my forward momentum.
In 2024, I became pregnant with my first child. Our lovely little girl was born in October. Being a new mom has been incredibly challenging, but I’ve found strength in change and rebuilding, and I’m fueled by the desire to use this experience to help others get their strength back during motherhood!
I’m optimistic for the future, and I look forward to sharing this with the world right here on my website and on social media.
